Why You Need To Stop Writing About So Many Things (That May Even Be Important To You)

Time and time again, I see writers making this mistake:

To include anything and everything just because I think it’s a cool addition to the story.

Honestly? That’s one of the dumbest things you can do for your story or article.

I get it though.

That thing you want to say?

It’s super important.

It was a life-changing moment in your life.

You have a powerful lesson to share.

You believe with all your heart that it will help your readers.

And so, you pile it in. You add all sorts of good shit in your story.

But the truth is, it’s hurting your writing. It’s making your writing extremely incoherent and amateur.

Time and time again, I’d read an article by a friend or new blogger who feel like they have something great to share. It goes something like this:

*Headline that is about traveling the world*

*Writes about how they love travelling and how it changed them for a couple of paragraphs.*
