On The Limits Of Masculinity: When You Had Enough With Weak Ass Friends

A couple of months ago, I had a bad falling out with a friend.

It was a friend I thought we could be “bros forever”, but it was a stark reminder in life that truly, nothing lasts forever.

To cut a long story short, he hit my limits.

He was being a bitch about things. He didn’t want to let shit go and decided that he wanted time for himself. This cost me a lot of time and money.

So after some mulling, I blocked him entirely. That’s mentally, emotionally and social media-ly.

If I was being honest about it, it got me really mad. I couldn’t help but think he was a total pussy.

It got me thinking about the limits and standards one may have on masculinity in a dude.

I know I have my own standards.

I do in fact believe that, eventually the best advice one needs to hear is, “Man the fuck up.”

“Grow a pair.”

“Quit being a bitch.”

“And move on.”

Sounds harsh? Yes, it is, but that’s how it needs to be (sometimes if not most times) in life.

People can easily call me out for being contradictory as I do advocate being empathetic and…
