Look man, luck is real and does play a big role in life

You know that thing called ‘luck’ right?

I have a love-hate relationship with it.

One one hand, I think it’s bullshit.

You can’t sit around hoping for things to happen to you automatically.

That’s being spoiled. That’s being lazy. That’s being useless.

On the other hand, I can’t stand how successful people today talk like luck doesn’t exist.

They say luck isn’t real.

It’s merely preparedness meets opportunity.

It’s just hard work.

It’s just opening up in life and saying yes to everything.

Or whatever.

Look man, let’s get real.

Luck, in that karmic sense where good or bad shit happens to certain people for seemingly no real reason, is real.

Some people win the lottery, some people don’t.

Someone may get saved from a lot of trouble from a last-minute decision that came out of nowhere.

Some people go viral online for the stupidest shit, some people struggle to get traction despite sharing their most honest, inspiring work.

Some people are at the right place at the right time, while some are the wrong place at the wrong time all the time.

Some have good days more than bad days.

Some people meet their super rich boyfriend or girlfriend, some end up dying alone.

Some people are beautiful, some are ugly.

Some are born into great circumstances, some are born to die really, really quick.

That’s. Just. Life.

Luck is very real in that sense.

Stop telling others that luck isn’t real.

Stop telling them to accept full responsibility for all their circumstances, when in reality, they didn’t ask for any for it.

Stop preaching out of your asses in the comforts of your luxuries ‘unlucky’ people will never, ever chance upon in their lives to come.

Stop telling a starving kid growing up in poverty that happiness is a choice.

Stop it. Go help them in some practical way instead.

Yet, luck is your choice. But approach life with a balanced point of view.

Work hard.

Don’t complain, that much.

Some days are good, some days are bad.

Whatever.

Accept it.

But.

Don’t complain, all the time.

Go to bed and chill.
