In Defense Of Your Business Or Brand Looking Like A Personal Diary

I always felt like I had a problem with this.

When I want to create something and make a business out of it, it ends up looking like my own personal diary. That’s what some people commented to me before.

It demoralized me somewhat. It made me feel like I was some kid from high school churning out random content he so desires and people will not take me seriously.

But is it really a bad thing?

I don’t exactly like following textbook concepts and fundamentals the business world advocates all the damn time.

And I definitely don’t like following the crowd.

Fixed principles and ideas always hinder art.

It kills passion.

It’s forces us to do shit we aren’t feeling 100% for.

It makes us follow the crowd.

This would literally demotivate me to the point I don’t do anything.

But yet, a personal diary can’t be taken seriously.

I think there’s a sweet, middle ground to be found.

Maybe you can passionately do something your own way until you find your own trend.

What do you guys think?
