Forgiveness Is A Snap Decision

When I broke up with my ex-girlfriend, it kind of didn’t end well, mostly for her.

I knew she took it hard as she blamed herself.

One day, a year later, she called me using an unknown number, hence why she could get through to me.

She cried on the phone, a lot.

She asked me if I hated her or if I was still angry with her.

After two seconds, without even thinking, I said no.

That was that.

Forgiveness is a snap decision. There is no thinking required.

If you need to write down pros and cons, then you’re not going to forgive.

I say, go with your gut and go with it without thinking.

The act of saying you forgive someone alone is powerful enough.

The act alone will show that you’re ready to move on.

The act alone will make a difference.

If you’re thinking, you aren’t acting. That’s how you get stuck in anger, hate and sadness forever.
